Red Ants
Red Ants can be found throughout Ontario, and are a common troublesome ant.
It is very small, red in color, and makes its nests in walls, floors, sills, timbers, or any parts of the houses. These little pests almost always stay in close proximity to your kitchen or food storage areas.
Oftentimes regular lines of red ants can be seen marching from some article of food they have discovered to their nest. In these cases it is sometimes easy to trace their line of march back to where they are nesting. Red ants are typically ground nesting but many times nest within your walls or masonry of your home, cottage or building, especially in areas near warmth.
